PVC Cables
PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) insulated Power Cables have proved integral to all distribution networks in low tension, fixed installation. They are also used as control cables for process and manufacturing industries, and in mining industries involving fixed installation.

"VIJAY" PVC Cables are suitable for continuous use between 30°C and 70°C and upto 85°C for Heat Resistant applications.

PVC, as insulation and sheath compounds, has the following superior features:
Strong and made for easy handling
Resistant to water, moisture, oils and chemicals
PVC black compounds can resist ultraviolet degradation
Specially formulated PVC is flame retardant and reduces emission of halogens and smoke
We have a modern compounding plant for making PVC insulation and sheathing compounds, according to our own formulae and strict quality control. Further, raw materials meant for blending in the compounding plant are subject to comprehensive chemical, electrical and mechanical tests before acceptance. PVC Cables are manufactured according to IS:1554 (Part I) up to 1.1 KV grade. All Cables have the ISI Certification.....................
Fire Retardant Low Smoke (FRLS) Cables
Growing awareness of fire hazards - a phenomenon causing immense loss by emitting smoke and poisonous gases - has led to the birth of FRLS cables.

FRLS cables offer improved performance characteristics in respect of the following

* Flame Retardance * Low Smoke Emission * Low Acid Gas Emission.

In order to meet the above, special pvc compound is used for the outer sheath. The design, construction, ingredients and testing of FRLS cables is as per IS/1554 (Part I). Over and above these standard tests, FRLS cables and its components are put to a series of special tests to fulfill the need of improved performance characteristics.
Physical Testing

Oxygen Index and Temperature Index Test as per ASTM D 2863
Halogen Acid Gas Test as per IEC 754 - Part (1) 60754

Apart from these tests, the following tests on finished cables are also carried out :-
Tests on electrical cables as per IEC 332 - (Part-1) 60332
Flammability Test - Chimney Test for Class F3 as per Swedish Standards SS 424 1475
Flame Test as per IEEE - 383, IEC 332 (Part 3) 60332
