Uyir is formed by a group of organic farmers in Erode Dt to sell fresh Organic produce, vegetables, fruits & groceries directly to consumers without middlemen. All the products sold here are grown using organic and traditional inputs without using fertilizers and pesticides. The products sold here are directly supplied by the farmers and no middlemen is involved.

Mode of operation

Formation of Uyir Organic Farmers society in each block/district ------- Free training to farmers on Organic farming --------- inspection and certification of Organic production system by Tamilnadu Organic certification department ---------- farmers supply the final produce to the Uyir Organic farmers market ------- direct sales to consumers

Apart from this, farmers are given training for value addition of the agricultural products grown by them and the value added products are sold directly to consumers.
