Udhampur district

Udhampur is a district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It covers an area of in the Himalayan mountains, an area greater in size than the Emirate of Dubai. Udhampur town is the headquarters of the district. Udhampur district is home to Vaishno Devi, one of the most revered shrines for Hindus, and one of the most popular religious centres in India.
