T.Kallupatti, is a panchayat town in Madurai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.Ancient history and archaeological findingsArchaeological excavations has confirmed about Iron Age historical remains in T.Kallupatti. The findings were from Upper Gundar Basin. The early history can be dated back to 5th century A.D. T.Kallupatti and Chinnakattalai are the few places in South India with Iron Age historical remains of copper and gold. The findings were reported by the Journal for South Asian studies.
