The Kashmir Pulse is a news portal operated from the Indian controlled state of Jammu and Kashmir. The news portal was launched in January, 2010 as Assassin News Network & re-launched on July 15, 2014 as The Kashmir Pulse with the primary aim to provide its readers credible and authentic news updates. Its efforts are to blend technology with professional journalism and build happy and long lasting relation with its readers. Pulwama is the chief operational locale of the service.


Brief History
The Kashmir Pulse, formerly known as Assassin News Network, officially launched its free to user SMS news alert service and website on the first day of January, 2010. The SMS services were banned in the state because of some law and order reasons that forced the service to shut down.

The Kashmir Pulse is a popular name among thousands of facebook users who are connected to its page on the social networking website. The page was operational even before the portal website was built.
