Why The Basement : Kolkata really needed a place for people with good taste in art and music to get together, to share their ideas, to watch, to listen, to enjoy and relax and to explore the culture that Kolkata is so famous for. There is a need for a space where one finds a perfect blend of music, art, passion, creativity and lots of positive energy. Keeping this in mind we introduce The Basement where art in all its rich and diverse forms will be explored, performed and appreciated. New ideas will be introduced after feedback from friends, well wishers and guests to keep The Basement alive and kicking with music, photography, theatre, screenings, festivals, exhibitions and a wide variety of food and beverage options to choose from. A reason to be at The Basement!

The Place: The Basement celebrates art, talent, passion and the love for life with colours, music, wall art, and much more! The entrance of The Basement is a not like any regular entry to another pub or restaurant. As you step in you are greeted by the wall art by the Ferals. The colours, sketches and the drawings on the wall bring add life to each and every corner and every inch at The Basement. The scene at the entrance depicts the madness of the bustling city. An old model scooter poses with style against this backdrop adding a classic touch to the place. A few steps down into the main pub area a vibrant, artistic and comfortable setting awaits you. The stage is set for live acts, the floor is ready for those who have their dancing shoes on and for those without it there is enough room to just stand around, chill and be part of the experience, with a drink (or more!) in hand and a few bites to keep up the energy. The energy is high, the vibes are good. The music is loud, crazy and yet tasteful. The pub immediately makes you feel like you belong there. It’s got the new and the old, the serious and the funny, the bright and the dark side of everything. It’s got something for everyone and for every mood. There will never be a dull moment at The Basement!

The Performances : The Basement is going to host the best live acts in town. We will feature new and upcoming talent along with the veterans in the field to have the right mix of the old, the new and also the future. The Basement will host karaoke nights, stand up comedy acts, stage shows, art and photo exhibitions, recitals, solo acts and anything and everything creative. If it’s interesting, it's at The Basement!

The Food: The food will again go with our theme. No restrictions. There will be Indian combos, continental favourites, fast bites, salads and lots more to choose from.
Something for every appetite at The Basement!

The Beverage: All range of beverages will be served along with the all time favourite draught beer and not to be missed the longest Happy Hours in town. Cheers!
