Tekkali

Tekkali is a census town in Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Tekkali mandal in Tekkali revenue division.EtymologyThe town derives its name from Telugu word for the medicinal tree Latin: botanical name is Clerodendrum phlomides Linn, of the family Verbenacae, called 'Tekkali' chettu in Telugu.
