TAABAR

‘TAABAR’, meaning 'little kid' in the local Marwari dialect, was established in 2007 under Rajasthan Society Registration Act, 1958.

Situated close to the main railway station in the city of Jaipur, TAABAR works at grass-root level to help and support runaways, orphans, slum and street children. Here they provide a number of local, holistic, community-based rehabilitation programmes including 'Bal Basera', an emergency transit shelter for children.

In 2009, Taabar UK was founded as a trust regulated by The Charity Commission for England and Wales. Taabar UK supports TAABAR’s work in India by way of fundraising, exposure and forging partnerships. See also www.TaabarUK.org.UK

Similar friends in the USA and Europe are also working to support TAABAR in providing assistance for street children in India.
