Professor H.M.Ganesh Rao who initiated School Project of the MAEER'S at Aurangabad is a retired Principal of College of Engineering, Pune and Founder of the MIT School of Management, Pune. He is also the Founder Trustee of MAEER'S and a Vice President. He has held several positions in the Universities of Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur and Surat.

He was a Dean of faculty of Engineering of Pune University, Marathwada University and was the Member of the Academic Counsill of the Pune University and Marathwada University, Shivaji University (as Chancellors Nominee) was also a Post Graduate Teacher of Bombay, Pune and Marathwada Universities.

He was associated with sports activities as Vice President of National Rowing Federation, President, Maharashtra Rowing Association and Chairman of Pune Zonal Council University Board of Sports, Pune University.

He has been a Member of several Government Committees and involved in the formulation of courses for all Universities in Maharashtra.

He has been a Member of several professional bodies and has read papers at several conventions and conferences.

He has also written some papers on spiritual matters and they can be seen on the Internet.
