SVS College of Engineering, Coimbatore, an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution affiliated to Anna University is one of the foremost institutions founded by Thiru.S. Chandrasekaran. It was established in the year 2009 under Sri Velammal Subbiah Educational Trust, located at 2.5KM from Coimbatore - Pollachi National Highway, is continuously being monitored by the Vice Chairman Mr.B. Raghavendran.

The courses offered in SVSCE are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. SVSCE offers six undergraduate programmes and three postgraduate programmes in Engineering. The campus in spread over 36 acres of land utilized for the College Hostels, Play Fields and Gardens.

SVS is a home to aesthetically designed buildings with state of the art computer and internet centres, Modern workshops, state-of-art laboratories, lecture halls, Seminar halls, well stocked libraries, sports and games fields in addition to gymnasium.

Apart from exemplary infrastructural facilities, the institute also offers a host of allied resources – a stationary store, ATM, a modern cafeteria, reprography center and transportation facilities – that go on to make the SVS experience truly enriching.

The college has signed MoU with research organizations and industries in order to promote closer interaction in the areas of technology development, training of students and development of state-of-art centers.

Each department conducts annually at least one National Conference/Seminar/Workshop for effective dissemination of state-of-art technologies and research findings for the benefit of faculty and industries.

Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Faculty Development Centre, Higher Education Cell & Research and Development Centre are the hallmarks of the Institute.
