St. Mary’s Convent School, Ramganjmandi, Dist. Kota (Rajasthan) situated three Kms away from the railway station near Marim hospital, in the noise -free and eco-friendly zone of this small Municipal town, famous for Kota-stone quarries and coriander cultivation. The school was established in 1999 by the St. Mary’s Higher Sec. School, Education Society Ajmer, to impart quality education to the children of the surrounding areas.
The ideals enshrined in the Constitution of India and the thrust envisaged in the New Education Policy of the Government of India, fully coincide with the FSMA (Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels) concern for the youth of this country. What we are focusing at is an education that will integrate the various sections of society, by providing more opportunity to the weak and marginalized . The aim of the Institution is to give young girls and boys an all round education – moral, academic, social, physical and spiritual based on high ideals and moral principles. The pupils are prepared to play their part in all activities of life and to appreciate true refinement and culture especially the culture of our own country. But above all, stress is laid on good conduct and character formation. For this purpose lessons in value education are given much importance in all the classes of the school and greatest attention is paid to the students’ health, wholeness, well – being and happiness.
The School has always strived for nothing less than excellence in all aspects of school life. The five batches of CBSE Board Exams have secured cent percent results. Besides focusing on the academic excellence various competitions and workshops are conducted for students in order that they discover and develop their hidden talents and potentialities.
Every day the school begins in the morning with an Assembly when students from class IV – X conduct prayer service based on themes such as National integration, Communal harmony universal peace etc. Hymns and Bhajans of different religions, thought for the day, Daily news, did you know general knowledge questions, National Anthem… are some of the highlights of the morning assembly.
We celebrate in the school all important National as well as religious festivals such as Republic day, Independence day, Teachers’ day, Christmas, EID, Diwali, Gandhi Jayanti etc. to inculcate a spirit of patriotism and tolerance among the students.
