Stars' Model Matriculation School

The School is managed by the ‘Womens Education for Development‘ Trust, a registered Trust for the cause of charitable purposes and education. WED Trust was started in the year 1991 by an advocate Shri.K.P.D.Prabhakaran and a few volunteers. In 1997, the organization felt the need to support children under difficult circumstances in and around Tiruchendur town. Hence the organization‘s base was shifted to Tiruchendur and under the leadership of Mr. Jeyadas .M, it took care of the abandoned due to poverty, superstitions and illegal affairs. Since then numerous children and women have benefitted from this service. This school was formally established in the year 2008. Fr. Mark Stephen and Mr. M. Jeyadas are the founders of this school. Tamilnadu Matriculation Board recognized this school in the year 2009. At present it has classes from pre-KG to XI STD with English as the Medium of Instruction. Tamil and Hindi are offered as first and third language respectively.
