Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust

At the time of 1960's, Dr. M. Mohan Babu imbibed a passion for promoting education from his father Sri Narayana Swamy Naidu who was a teacher and head master in Chittoor Dist. Thus a dream long cherished and nurtured came true.

Dr. M. Mohan Babu and the trust members planned SVEI as the center of higher learning that would be open to all, regardless of Nation origin, Religious beliefs, or Social background. While the SVEI's commitments to these ideals remains unchanged. From a student body of 216, enrollment has grown to nearly 10,000 students, with one school and five colleges at one location, Tirupati. The faculty, which initially consisted of 10, as if now it totals to 350, full time members.

Sree Vidyanikethan truly reflects the academic excellence since 1992, when the first brick was laid for the noble cause of imparting quality education to one and all. Thousands of students and parents have started banking their trust with us. Over years, the stature and commitment of Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust (SVET) touched higher levels with rapid expansion in all vital fields of professional education. Today, SVET administers the following institutions.

The major strengths of SVET are excellent library with thousands of volumes and rare reference books; individual laboratories with superb research facilities for various departments of science, technology and engineering; and campus recruitment by several companies of global reputation.

Above all, I always believe in the adage – Strong mind in a strong body. Hence, maximum importance is given to encourage sports and games in Sree Vidyanikethan.
