VISION

“JUSTICE FOR ALL”

Our notion of JUSTICE embodies three key concepts;

Fairness, equitable distribution and human dignity.

Fairness is a question of substantive outcome of whether the allocation of benefits and harm could be considered fair, legitimate and just. The rational aspect of justice is captured by equitable distribution of resources and rights among individuals or groups. Finally human dignity acknowledges that there are minimum levels of rights necessary for human existence.

VALUES

Splendor Foundation believes in the rights and values outlined in the 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights', the 'Convention on the Elimination of all Discrimination Against Women' and the 'Beijing Platform for Action'.

These human rights instruments assert that “Women’s Rights are Human Rights!” and recognize the essential dignity and inherent rights of every person, male or female.

In the words of Mahatma Gandhi,

"Ultimately women will have to determine with authority what she needs. Just as fundamentally men and women are one, their problem must be one in essence. The souls in both are the same. The two live the same life, have the same feelings. Each is the compliment of the other. One cannot live without the other's active help!"

Sustainability;
We ensure that dialogue, stakeholder involvement, consultation and collaboration remain common process of sustainability.

Participation;
We recognize the multiplicity of values and interest in a given context and actively seek participation by those who may otherwise be excluded.

Assistance;
We appreciate the particularities of local contexts and related social change processes and provide assistance accordingly.

Respect;
We respect diversity and believe that within the process of social change there are opportunities for meaningful dialogue about how communities, Govt. and society might plan and act for the future.

Solicitude;
We care for equality; the inequalities in the society have to be addressed, in particular those between present and future generations and between rich and the poor.

Humanity;
Time has come to restore humanity; we must stand up and say “No More!” and help repair the World and reject those who cannot transcend their hate.
