Social Empowerment & Welfare Association- SEWA

Social Empowerment and Welfare Association ( SEWA) is a voluntary organization registered in 2004 under chhatisgarh Society Registration Act, 1973 at Raipur. With the vision of a couple of committed individuals, work was started in Rajnandgaon and Durg District and soon more areas like Raipur, and Kabirdham were added.

Since inception the goal of the SEWA team has been to ensure that ‘Person standing at the last should be benefited’. We believe on the philosophy of ‘Sarv karyam sewa mulam’ which means behind each & every work in SEWA the only motive is doing service. We focus on the poor and marginalized people who are oppressed and exploited.

SEWA takes a total geographical approach, be it a city or a rural block. The "complete coverage" approach; coupled with close links and co-operation with the Corporate, Government and public participation distinguishes it from other non-governmental organizations.

It also gives opportunity to the researchers and academicians to have field exposure and collect primary data.
