Skill and Placement Link Cell, Sambalpur

There are a slew of skill development training programmes under various government schemes and departments. With the aim of bringing all such programmes under one roof, Sambalpur District Administration has created 'Skill and Placement Link Cell'. This cell will serve as a single point contact to gain information on all kinds of skill development training programmes under the government.

Another objecive of this cell is to act as facilitator for placement of educated and skill trained youths. The Cell will contact industries and organisations and organize placement sessions for job seekers. In this way the Cell seeks to converge the demand and supply of employment in Sambalpur District.

The Cell will also work on organizing career guidance and counselling sessions for students and youths of Sambalpur District. This will let them to choose the career path best suited for them through informed decisions. Experts in various fields will be roped in for this purpose.
