The problem of avoidable blindness is rapidly escalating and have remained a major cause of concern in the Indian healthcare scenario especially in North Bengal. In a developing country the government alone cannot meet demands of the masses.

Realizing this dearth need few socially driven conscious members of Lions Club of Siliguri Greater dreamt of a State-of-Art Eye Care Hospital and Institute to serve the people of North Eastern India, accessible equally from Eastern Nepal and Bhutan.

Hence with the same vision Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital was born in 1981 . For the past 35 years, the hospital is successfully continuing the journey & providing quality eye care services to millions.

In partnership with the Government and notable civil societies Greater Lions have roared load in restoring eyesight of several blind and visually challenged people. We are proud to have become the Largest Eye Care Service Provider in North Bengal.
