Organic, the buzzword today, isn’t it? Yes, it is. It should be. People, per se, have become a lot more aware than they used to be regarding the concept. Thanks to the damage that has been caused to the people, the society or for that matter, environment as a whole due to the ever-increasing usage of synthetic chemicals & fertilisers in farming and other ancillary practices.
At Siddhagiri’s Satvyk, we focus to bring to you not just organic food products but the right set of organic lifestyle. For example, local (desi) seeds grown organically make more sense than growing the hybrid ones organically. Another example to consider is that of oil. Extracting oil using organically grown oilseeds is good provided the process is carried out in a wooden ghani and not on an expeller. The desi seeds, the wood-press technique, etc. is all about going back to the roots. It is going back from where we all started. Organic grass-fed Cow Ghee makes more sense when it is prepared using indigenous Cow milk and such milk is entirely converted to yoghurt to extract the ghee. I repeat, it shall be whole milk yoghurt ghee to make you experience the benefits of it. Thus, organic food is important, but the processes used to produce or manufacture that food is more important. Satvyk, by choosing to get back to the roots, is not only providing you the organic food you deserve, but at the same time, is helping bring smile on the faces of those manufacturing or producing the food, our beloved farmers and local producers as we have made it a standard to ensure that at least two-third of the consumer rupee is shared with them. Rather than centralizing the processing part, we find it better to hand it over to the Women Self Help groups and rural entrepreneurs in our nearby areas thus generating a share for them as well.
