Shree Gattu Vidyalaya

The GIDC Ankleshwar Industries were set up in the year 1970, today GIDC Ankleshwar is considered as a prime industries estate of Gujarat and one of India’s largest organised industries estate.In the year 1977-78 the residencial colony came up, the same time a pressing need for a good school and a medical centre emerged with the development of other infrastructure.

Ankleshwar Industries Association initiated a primary school on 1980.The leading industrial entrepreneur community of GIDC Ankleshwar joined hands together and established Ankleshwar Industrial Development Society(AIDS) in 1983 with the aims and objectives in concise as follows:

To undertake various public charitable activities in the field of education, health, culture, sports and such other fields for the overall upliftment of the human being in particular and community in general race or religion.

A mega project to setup a new school building was taken up in the year 1984. GIDC provided 20000sq. Mtrs. of land free of cost for the purpose to construct the large school building with a wast play ground. Asianpaints ltd provided financial support for the construction of the school building. The school was renamed as “Shree Gattu Vidyalaya” in appreciation of the contribution made by asianpaints Ltd. Since then the school has grown from strength to strength from Kinder garden to 12th Science English and Gujarati Medium.The school has been imparting quality education to 2350 students each year.
