Shishir Gupta

Shishir Gupta has 18 years of experience in starting, running & managing businesses. He is the founder CEO of StartupLanes – a startup for startups. He created his first startup salah4u in year 2001 when startups were not common in India. His second startup was fashion4india and third was jamunapaar.com; By the end of 2001, all his three startups failed. That was first time when he realized the need of a mentor, in January 2016, he launched StartupLanes.com to provide step by step guidance to wannabe entrepreneurs that now offers Legal Consulting, Fundraising & Technology Advisory along with guidance to the entrepreneurs.

He began to show interest in business at the age of 14. He started participating with his father’s business of manufacturing wall paints. He started direct sales and channel sales of the products in part-time, immediately after joining business. At the age of 15, he developed great interest for technology and started learning the different fields of technology.

Shishir developed his first computer application in year 1997. It was an inventory control and billing application that was developed for MS DOS in C++/Clipper and used FoxPlus as a database.

Shishir is an MBA in Marketing &Finance and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
