Sherwood Convent School

Sherwood Convent School was established in 1990. The motto of the school is to enlighten our generation’s heart and mind with Knowledge and Truth. Our inspiration is from the Bible as Jesus’ said to His disciples “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) and later apostle John mentioned in his 3rd Epistle that "I have no greater joy than this to hear that my children walk in truth." (III John 1:4).

In our education system we focus to meet every Child Social, Spiritual, Emotional and Physical needs.We use appropriate programs and different methods of teaching so that every student here enjoys successful experience of learning. We believe that strength of our program is in dedication of our teaching staff. Our teachers create a caring, loving and nurturing atmosphere and mould each child’s creativity and positive self image.

The school is divided into pre-primary, primary and secondary wings. To keep pace with modern educational systems, the school is running Smart class system. The school lays emphasis on the character building and development of individual’s aptitude for learning and ability to adapt the social system
We believe that parents are the most significant adults in child’s life. We strive to create mutual respect between parents and teachers; a partnership for the benefit of the Child. We encourage communication between parents and teachers. Our doors are open for the parents all the time.

In our School and Daycare Centre which provides exceptional care for children age 12 months through twelve years. We offer a Christian atmosphere of learning for God’s children by showing each child the love that God has for them and teaching them how God wants us to love one another. Throughout the day, children will follow schedules adhered to their age. They will learn through interactive play within supervised indoor activities, as well as outside activities. We feel your child will benefit from both the structured and non-structured learning.

One of the toughest challenges faced by parents is to know whether or not their child is safe and doing well while they are separated during the day. The Parent Watch "CCTV" program is designed for parents to view their children online from the comfort of their home or place of work. The facility has 12 CCTV cameras encompassing the facility. We have 6 outdoor cameras, and 6 indoor cameras that are password protected.

In the session 2014-15 we are looking forward for greater things which are yet to be done with faith and declare that this year will be a “Year of Transition”. Some of the programs that we have included this year are such as Music Classes, Parenting and Counselling Seminars for parents.
