SECL Dipka

A major contributor to energy requirement of the Nation, SECL Dipka Area is mega open cast mine complex of Coal India Limited contributing around 24% of SECL Production & around 6% of CIL Production. Located at the town of Dipka of the district Korba Chattisgarh, Dipka Area has shown a massive growth in Coal Production from 19.08 MT in yr. 2006-07 to 31 MT in yr. 2015-16. Dipka Area produces coal through mechanised opencast mines but its commitments towards environmental protection is total. It is one of very few areas engaged in mining activities, which has got accredited with ISO 9001 Certification, ISO 14001 Certification & S A 8000 Certification.
