Ananda Cares is a non-profitable, multi-faith NGO that carries out community beneficiary projects for the poor and needy of all races and refugees in Malaysia. Ananda Cares activities include Value-Based Education Centre for children, Skills Training Employment Centre for women and Empathy Care Centre for abandoned grannies. The Education Centre provides creative, educational activities for needy children, including education in human values, English literacy, computer literacy, traditional dance & music, yoga & aerobics, sports carnival, children’s programme & competitions, Malaysian cultural performances, leadership camps, excursions and tertiary education sponsorships. The Employment Centre helps needy women to sustain their livelihood independently, with dignity. The activities include premium quality & hygienic baking, vegetarian food catering, sewing and value-based handicrafts. The Empathy Care Centre provides personal care, medical aid, domestic aid, vegetarian meals, monthly provisions and small finance loans. All activities are carried out free-of-charge on a voluntary basis. Transport and meals are provided.
