Ruchira Classes

Mrs. Chitra Soni is a graduate of Hotel management & Catering technology from Mumbai. She worked as a management trainee at Hotel Taj Mahal, Mumbai. After coming to Nagpur in 1974, she worked as a Lecturer in Department of Dietetics. After her marriage, she started her own cooking classes under the name "Ruchira" in 1975. Till date, more than 70,000 women and men have attended her classes.

"Ruchira" offers 21 types of cooking classes, besides Saree draping, Make up, hair care, etc in the grooming section. In 2004, two new classes 'Share market' and 'Lifestyle in a Foreign Country' were added to the list.

Mrs. Soni has to her credit more than 200 workshops, which have been conducted in Nagpur and neighbouring cities. She has also worked as a Brand Promoter for leading kitchen appliance manufacturers like Bajaj, IFB, LG, etc. Mrs. Soni has also received various awards for her outstanding contribution to the field. In 2010, she was among the top 5 contestants of the 'Superchef show' aired on the Food Food Channel.
