Company Introduction:

Quantum Corporation Limited currently produces different types of bakery products under the flagship brand ‘KOKOMO’. All most all the products, specially a kid’s biscuit naming ‘Kokomo’ has got immense popularity amongst consumers in this short period of time. Other products like popular dark biscuits ‘Cream O’, double cream layer biscuits ‘Twin Cream’ have also been highly appreciated among the connoisseurs. Our products are unique both in its design and taste. There are quite a good number of products which are completely new idea for the country and have been able to grab the attention of the targeted market within short period of time.

Production Facility:
===============
Our production plant is located at Islampur, Brahmanbaria on 80,000 square feet of land where 23,000 square feet is the production floor and 12,000 square feet is the administrative, utilities and warehouse building and rest areas are kept for future expansion. Presently we have foreign and local machineries worth of BDT 1500.0 Lac (BDT 15 Crore only) which consists of the ‘Largest’ 60 meter oven in the country. The plant is capable of producing 20 Tonnage of Biscuits and 15 Tonnage of international-standard chocolate per day and that’s 520 Tonnage of Biscuits and 390 Tonnage of Chocolate per month. In value that’s around DBT 1300.0 (BDT 13 crore) worth of production capacity per month.

The prime parts of all the machineries are made of famous European brands and assembled in China from one of the top 10 bakery machines manufacturing companies. Apart from biscuits and chocolate production machines we have required number of preparation machines, packaging machines and high capacity generator and other auxiliary equipments.

Current Capacity Utilization:

Till November 2016, the capacity utilization of machineries are as follows

Biscuits Baking Line Mixers, Laminations, Moulding, Baking, Cooling and Stacking(500 ft) 75%, Kokomo Section Chocolate Filling (10 nos) and Packing machines (28 Nos) 100%,
Chocolate Section Ball Mill Machine (1 Nos) and Conching Machines (2 Nos) 70%, Other Auxiliaries Sugar Grinder, Cutter, Cookies Packing, Sandwiching 100%

Manpower:
========
Currently 34 Officers and permanent staffs and 350 daily basis workers are working in the plant.

In sales and distribution system, we presently have around 400 sales agent throughout the country fed from 10 regional warehouses. Under 400 sales agents, we 400 deliverymen, 30 owned and hired pickups for sales and delivery. We are expanding our distribution network continuously and expecting to put 500 sales units in operation within end of March 2016. So far we have covered all the districts and upazilla headquarters and more than half of the Thana sadars of the country.

We also have 36 permanent staff at our Dhaka Head Office looking after different functional wings like, Accounts, Sales and Marketing, HRD, Admin, Supply Chain, MIS, Legal etc.


Revenue and Current Business Status:
===============================
In last month of October 2016, revenue from sales were around BDT 90,000,000.0 (TK. Nine Crore).
Average revenue of last 6 months was BDT 60,000,000.0 (Tk. Six Crore). Sales trend is upward and ever increasing.

Above data shows that our business is in excellent condition as far as it potentiality is concerned. We have reached up to this revenue level with less-than-required numbers of sales units and agents and without any sort of advertisement.
