Late. Laxmanrao Gadgil known as Nanakaka was given an honour of RATNAPARKHI by the then Raja of Sangli State. Nanakaka was main inspiration behind the Gems business of PNG. Late. Shrikrishna Gadgil popularly known as Rajabhau further took the Gems business of PNG to new heights.

Dream of Rajabhau was further enhanced by current Team PNG i.e. Smt. Padmini Gadgil, Shri. Akshay Gadgil, Shri. Rohan Gadgil. Smt. Padmini Gadgil is IGI Certified Diamond Grader. Shri. Akshay Gadgil is MBA Finance and GIA's Graduate Gemmologist. Shri. Rohan Gadgil is MBA Finance and IGI Certified Diamond Grader.

In the year 1998 PNG Jewellery & Gems came into existence for dealing especially in Diamonds, Precious & Semi Precious Stones, Pearls, Corals and studded jewellery. In the year 2002 taking into consideration the growth of Pune a small store was started on Paud Road. In 2004, the shop was further expanded into a 2500 sq. ft. showroom. In 2003 a store was started in Chinchwad, in 2004 in Camp, in 2007 away from Pune in Nashik and in 2012, one on Satara Road and one on Sinhagad Road.

PNG Brothers has launched a new store in Bund-Garden Road in Pune on 10th August, 2014. This high-end jewellery boutique is spread across 1200 sq. ft. primarily focusing on diamonds with a 50 ft. counter. The store will also stock basic gold jewellery.
