PES PACE

PACE: Partners for the Advancements of Collaborative Engineering Education

PACE is a partnership between General Motors, Siemens PLM Software, Autodesk, Hewlett Packard and Oracle to support strategically-selected academic institutions worldwide. It has since grown into an International club with a total of 65 Engineering and Design institutions across 12 countries.

The PACE Global committee organises the PACE Global Annual Forum in different PACE institutions every year. Training is offered by industry experts, in softwares used by all the major automotive giants. A number of Global competitions are held at the forum namely:
The Global Collaborative Project, Poster presentation, Technical Paper presentation, Connected Mobility Solutions and The Collaborative Innovation Challenge.

PACE promotes university-to-industry and university to-university global networking and collaboration, through PACE projects and competitions that bring together faculty, students, subject matter experts, and company executives in a collaborative environment, both locally and globally.

The objective of the PACE Global Committee is to provide students with the opportunity to expand and develop their professional skills as part of distributed virtual teams, advance their project planning and execution skills, and experience the same challenges that industrial designers, product engineers, and manufacturing engineers encounter in industry. Students participate in multi-university teams; utilize PACE state-of-the-art CAD/CAE/CAM and collaboration software; and apply product lifecycle management tools and concepts.
