Our mission is to implement programs led and owned by the people of India. Pathfinder International India is working closely with national and state governments and other partners to improve maternal, newborn, and reproductive health in the country.

To advance maternal and newborn health in India, Pathfinder train providers to help ensure safe pregnancies and deliveries and promote life-saving, emergency obstetric care.

Pathfinder educates communities to identify danger signs of complications like postpartum hemorrhage—a leading cause of maternal death—and to activate transport systems for women to reach facilities for emergency care. Pathfinder supports communities to change harmful social norms to delay early marriage and space births, advancing girls educational opportunities and maternal, child, and family health. Pathfinder trains frontline health workers to support families in making healthy decisions for mothers and newborns.
