NIGAZH THEATRE CENTRE was founded in 2002, by Mr. Shanmugaraja and officially registered under Indian trust Act 1972 on May 29th of 2009 in Madurai, Tamilnadu. We are one of the most active theatre groups in Tamilnadu, Southindia. Our main focus is the exploration of theatre and performance aesthetics through production, workshops, seminars, festivals, publications and interactions. We try to bring theatre closer to those who are marginalized and underprivileged by society. Nigazh is a space for exploration of different contemporary theatre forms, without losing the spirit of our tamil legacy.
