Nawalparasi

This district is divided into three geographical areas: Pahad (Hilly Region), Terai Region and Bhitri Madhesh (Inner Terai Region) covering an area of 2,162 Sq. Km. and population 643,508 according to census of 2011. Parasi bazar is the district headquarter where most of governmental, private and organization, banking offices lies. Nawalparasi is the combination of two words Nawalpur and Parasi. The nawalpur area is most developed because most of the popular industries and famous town lies here. This district is famous for the religious sites like Triveni Dham of Susta Vdc, Daunne Devi Temple of Daunne Devi Vdc, Maula Kalika Temple of Gaidakot Vdc. This disctrict is also popular for the tourism because some of the part of Chitwan National Park touches the disctrict
