Muslim Youth Committee reflects the diversity of Muslim communities in India. The site encourages young Muslims to develop peer-support networks, access specialist and mainstream support services and care for their social and mental wellbeing. Muslim youth committee aims to raise awareness of the different social problems that affect vulnerable youth and provide culturally sensitive guidance to young people. By omitting the generation gap and the cultural restrictions of an adult-run service, we are able to build the trust of young people and deal effectively with the social pressures that young people from the Muslim community have never before been able to reveal.MYC funds its work through grants from various charitable trusts and government departments, independent fundraising and donations from individuals...... Muslim Youth Committee has successfully undertaken a number of programs. At the same time it has waged relentless struggles for social justice, equity, security and empowerment of the oppressed and downtrodden.

Muslim Youth Committee has conducted a series of programs for its members for imparting intellectual training for imbibing love for the ideals that the community and country cherish. It has the glorious tradition of upholding communcal amity and secular solidarity.
Structure and Rules


Article 1: Aims and Objectives

a) To protect and maintain the integrity and freedom of the Indian Union
b) To protect the interests and to maintain the dignity and pride of Indian citizens in general and the Muslim community in particular.
c) To implement the policies and programmes of Indian Union Muslim League.
d) To foster unity and harmony between Muslim community and other communities.
e) To plan and execute policies and programmes intended for the religious, cultural, educational and social progress of the Muslim population.
f) To inculcate true religious values in Muslims and to encourage them to live on the right path by creating appropriate circumstances.
g) To organise relief work and take care of the poverty-stricken.
h) To encourage the languages of Arabic and Urdu. Vision & Mission
To provide faith and culturally sensitive peer support services to vulnerable youth in INDIA.

To engage, train and develop young people in providing a platform for peer support in the community.

To challenge the barriers, stereotypes and taboos which prevent vulnerable youth from accessing support either in the community or mainstream services so that no young person is forced to endure their problems in silence.

We work to promote peer support and provide young people with training and skills that will stay with them throughout their lives and have an impact on the wider community and society around them. We also hope to nurture the leadership skills of young people by putting them in positions of responsibility and decision making.
Article 2: Units
The Himachal Pradesh State Muslim Youth Committee shall have the following units.

1.State Committee
2.District Committee
3.Constituency Committee
4.Panchyat / Municipal Committee
5.Ward / Division / Town Committee
If it is required, the City / Area Committees can be formed with the consent of the District Committee as well as Ward / Division Committees can be formed with the consent of Panchayat / Municipal Committees.


Article 3: Membership

1.(a) anyone between the of 18 to 40 and approves the Article 1 can have primary membership in the Muslim Youth Committee, after filling up the A-forum and paying the membership fee Rs.5
2.(b) the member shall not be associated with any political committee with particular constitution, programmes and membership other than Muslim Youth Committee, or shall not be a member of any organization which is working against the policies and programmes of Muslim Youth Committee.
3.(c) three years shall be the duration of Primary Membership.
