The Kancheepuram Murugan Silk Handloom Weavers Co-op Production & Sales Society Ltd.G.1653 had been registered on 02.02.1957 and started its operations from 17.03.1957. The Society is earning profit continuously since inception. This Society is under the control of Dept of Handloom and Textiles, Govt of Tamil Nadu.
The Kancheepuram Murugan Silk Handloom Weavers Co-op Society Ltd.G.1653 produces from plain and simple design to heavy Jacquard design for casual wear to wedding functions, Small Zari (gold thread) border with simple Pallu to broad border with grand Zari Woven Pallu and the combinations are quite endless. New designs are developed and woven in the fabrics with the technique of adai and jacquard with computer Aided designs.
