MMNSS College Kottiyam

❇Mannam Memorial N.S.S. College❇ is the 15th in the order of hierarchy of 24 colleges of Nair Service Society. It came into existence in 1981. It is named after the founder of N.S.S., Sri. Mannathu Padmanabhan.

❅The College stands on a beautiful site of about thirty acres of land. The aim of the college is to impart to the students knowledge in various branches of learning and mould them into men of character and culture so that they will be useful to our Nation, to themselves and to the future.

❅In March 2004 the University Grants Commission recognized the College under section 2(f) of the UGC Act and the initial financial assistance for various projects is being received from the UGC. The College celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2006-07. The College has been accredited by NAAC. Though the college is situated in a socially and economically backward area, it stands first in the result of University Examinations among the first grade colleges situated in Kollam town.

❅Parent teacher Association is highly active and dedicated to the all round development of the institution. The Merit Awards and prizes instituted by the PTA which comes tof Rs. 50,000/- have been given to the selected students at the general body meeting of the PTA. The NCC unit of the college has 108 cadets. There is also an active unit of the National Service Scheme comprising 250 volunteers.
