Who we are
We LOVE ART, from the deepest nooks and crannies of our heart and soul. We’ve set out to make art a part of our daily lives. Yes, tall order! We think of everything as a canvas, waiting for beautiful stories to be told. Handbags, clothes, walls – don’t be surprised if we stop you in the middle of the street in some corner of the world and ask you to handover your bag to us cause we want one of our artists to breathe life into it!

Our Artists
ARTISTS are the heroes at Meraki – and rightly so, see their work, you’ll know why we think so. Everyday that we work with our artists, we find inspiring stories, history being rewritten and history being preserved. Their work truly embodies the essence of our name – to do something with so much heart and soul that you leave a piece of your soul in your work. So that bag you’re holding in your hands, that’s a tiny part of our soul right there in your hands, be gentle with it now.

Our customers
Customers? No that’s not the right word for you. You are patrons- Rasiks, connoisseurs, feinschmekers, intenditores. There’s a reason why there’s a word in every language for you. There would be no Leonardo Da Vinci without the Medici’s – there would be no Meraki without you. Thank you for finding us! Thank you for being our storytellers.

What we do
So here we are, attacking this tall order starting with… BAGS. Buying Art till now has somehow had such an inaccessible air about it, so we thought why not start with something that you need everyday which is of course your bag! No better way of making art more accessible. Why leather bags you ask? Well, we experimented with a lot of materials and nothing looked quite as beautiful as art on leather. Be assured though, like you, we also worry about the environment and we are making sure that we source our bags and leather from suppliers who manufacture ethically and sustain-ably and you can read all about them in our blog too.

Being hand crafted, any minor ‘irregularities’ that you may find are an inherent part of each of our products unique identity. Do give us your feedback, we would love to hear from you.
