Melghat Conservation Project

Melghat Tiger Reserve is one of the important tiger habitats in Maharashtra. Protection of tiger habitat in this landscape is a challenge given the tough terrain, escalating human pressures and threats from poachers. Considering the vast area the field staff of the tiger reserve will benefit from presence of additional manpower to help them in patrolling duties. Through this project WRCS invites participation of volunteers from civil society to help the Forest Department in strengthening protection of tiger habitat in Melghat.
