Right from the beginning, creativity is the predominant lifestyle in the department which is seen prominently amongst the budding media students, who work tirelessly day and night sharpening their edges to be the best of the best.

Established in 2001, the department of Mass Communication & Journalism provides full-fledged facilities for the students to produce industry grade quality media content. The department offers two years of Master degree programme in Mass communication & Journalism with an intake of 36 students. The course for the master’s includes print journalism, television production, advertising and public relations, new media, development communication, communication research methods etc. It also offers a post-graduate diploma course in Mobile & Multimedia communication from this year, 2010.

The department has the state of the art infrastructure and facilities which enables one to have rich learning and hands on experience on the equipments of the media world.
Facilities like audio-edit suit, television studio, computer lab with 24 hours net connectivity, radio studio etc. is being provided by the department.
Amenities apart, teaching faculty who have affluent and wide-ranging learning and teaching experience add zest to the whole ambience of the department.
