Mangalam Dam

Constructed on the river Cherukunnapuzha, a tributary of the river Mangalam, the Dam is a popular picnic site. The construction of the dam was completed in the year 1956 and is located south of Palakkad town. The reservoir fringes on the forest teams with wildlife like deer, elephants and a variety of birds. The entire area is quite fascinating with beautiful parks, lawns and statues.
