MANDIRA BAHL & MIHIR SUD

MANDIRA BAHL:
Mandira Bahl is a B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Illustration from Pratt University in New York and a B.F.A. in Graphic Design, Film & Photography from the prestigious Central Saint Martins (CSM), London. She is the recipient of the Kodak Award in the Best Ad Film category & has won several competitions such as that for MTV where her promotional video was aired in the UK. She has worked at Moti Roti Design Studio in the UK where she gained valuable exposure as a conceptual designer on numerous projects. Her interest in film took her to Mumbai where she worked with Mihir Sud in the ‘Indian Film Industry’ on several Advertising & Feature films. Her natural evolution into an interior designer was facilitated by conceptualizing interior spaces for Rasik Bahl’s designs together with Mihir Sud. Her artistic sensibility & inherent aptitude for functionality and aesthetics makes her a perfect & valued member of 'Mandira & Mihir'

MIHIR SUD
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Mihir Sud is a B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Applied Art ad Advertising from The College of Art Delhi, following which he went on to pursue a M.F.A. (Master of Fine Arts) in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design in New York. During his time in New York his interest in Broacast Design crossed over to film. His love of weaving compelling visual narratives won him a full scholarship to the prestigious Prague Film School where he specialised in Direction, Cinematography and Lighting. He started his career in 1999 as a Broadcast Design intern with MTV, Mumbai, where he was responsible for packaging television shows. His time at Thomas Bouton Productions in Prague helped him develop as a Graphic Designer and Visualizer. His passion for films took him to Bombay where he & Mandira designed numerous Sets for Advertising and Feature films for many well known National & International Directors & Producers & gained a reputation as a Production Designer/Set Designer/Art Director. A natural progression into Interior & Product Design has seen him execute a number of projects with Mandira Bahl. His vast exposure and worldwide experiences bring to the firm an unforgiving eye for detail and an evolved aesthetic sense.
