Malangwa

Malangwa is a town and municipality and the headquarter of Sarlahi District in the Janakpur Zone of Nepal. It is located at 26°52'0N 85°34'0E with an altitude of 79 metres (262 feet) near the border with India at Sonbarsa. There is a customs checkpoint at the border crossing.EtymologyThe name Malangwa is derived from Malang baba, an Islamic Saint. In the name of him, fair is organised in the town, very near to the border. The people celebrate the occasion in the month of Chaitra.
