Madhubani is an assembly constituency in Madhubani district in the Indian state of Bihar. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Raj Kumar Mahaseth representing JD in 1995 and contesting as an Independent in 1990 defeated Prem Chandra Mishra of Congress. Padma Chaubey of Congress defeated Raj Kumar Mahaseth of JP in 1985. Raj Kumar Mahaseth of Janata Party (Secular – Charan Singh) defeated Padma Chaubey of Congress in 1980. Digambar Thakur of JP defeated Lokesh Nath Jha of Congress in 1977.
