According to a legend, the demon king Pulom’s daughter, Sachi wanted to marry the king of heaven-Indra. She prayted to Jwalpa Devi who appeared to her in the form of ‘Deptiman Jwaleshwari’ and here wish was fulfilled. Even today, hundreds of people throng to this temple, as it is believed that all wishes are granted by the Goddess of power.
