The farmers of the earth are the most valuable citizens. They are the most vigorous, the most independent, the most virtuous, and they are tied to their country and wedded to it's liberty and interests by the most lasting bands.

According to a Chinese proverb "If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people..Krishi guru is a non profit organization, a group of scientist built on the information and experience generated and collected by its members in order to share amongst all the stackholders engaged for profitable and sustainable farming and for environmental preservation.This website is an initiative of the group of agricultural scientists and professors as part of a campaign to increase awareness about the science of agriculture throughout the country. It is the focal point of the campaign. Its general content is tailored towards farmers and agri-graduates. Meanwhile a special toolbox section provides study material to be used by stakeholders including teachers/scientist, extension officers, students and farmers of the country.The website will also provide latest news and information for events concerning the development of agricultural technologies. Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel rightly said "Only Who Produces grains and Food from Soil has Right to Walk with Upright Head and Confidence on this Land". Therefore, my humble request is to contribute in raising the production potential of our land in a sustainable manner. Dissemination of latest knowledge generated by agricultural scientist in India and elsewhere is necessary.Your valuable suggestions is requested to make this website more useful to the farmers, extension officers as well as to the students of agricultural and allied sciences.
