Kinnaura Farmers

1. To make all out effort to make Kinnaur and Himachal a Horticulture and Agriculture economic power, and specifically in the crop of apple.
2. To develop high quality Apple farms in the Himachal Pradesh for the production of apple, this in turn will act as hubs for developing commercial horticulture by adopting high-tech horticulture techniques.
3. To represent on behalf of the Farmers, to the Central and State government, the Planning Commission and other concerned authorities, and to nominate members to serve on any committee representing farmer groups in any government agency or otherwise.
4. To ensure association of progressive growers of apple for the improvement in the crop and marketing of the produce.
5. To represent on behalf of farmers in base price fixation of crop every year, with The government agencies, companies, or any other buyer of crops and products.
6. To become a forum, where all the farmers can share, suggest, solve and discuses pre and post Harvest problems relating to horticulture and agriculture.
7. To ensure fair transportation of crops to desire market.
8. To revive and preserve traditional methods of farming.
9. To help in the organization of Associations of Farmers in the various villages of Himachal Pradesh.
10. To create technology awareness about the introduction of new technologies/ concepts in the area of inputs, pre and post harvest and marketing by organizing seminars, workshops, exhibitions at the local, district, regional, state, national, international level for promotion of horticulture and agriculture crops.
11. To introduce post harvest technologies and strengthen the post harvest infrastructure like Cold stores, from the farm level to the market and if necessary create such infrastructure and markets to serve the farmer community and its members in particular.
12. To receive donations/grants and acquire/purchase any moveable or immovable Property from any govt./semi govt. or individuals in the name of society for Furtherance of its objectives
13. To pool the produce of several farmers in an area and to improve linkage between producers and marketers and consumers in the process of marketing.
14. To increase producers share in consumer price. To help establish communication networks for the speedy collection and dissemination of market information/data for its efficient and timely use. The association will act as a source for information including arrival, prices, import, export, etc
