The unique feature of the construction of the Sandhu havelis is that they are constructed in a circle. The door of each haveli opens up into a common courtyard. The Sandhu families have their havelis completely segregated from the rest of the village.A fine piece of architecture these havelis require a lot of upkeep.Water-logging is one of the greatest curses that this village has had to face after the green revolution reached a plateau. The rising water table spells doom on these havelis.Heavy expenditure is forseen in making these splendours last.
