This area is dominated by sugar cane andjaggery tamarind groves which surround the Village. The poultry industry is significant in the area. Cattle, goats and sheep are raised in the area. Cattle milk is collected by associations and sold to the local dairy. Farmers are encouraged to take part-time jobs. This money helps meet their monthly needs. Milk is exported to neighboring states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The other significant crops grown are rice, finger millet, sorghum, pearl millet, peanuts, vegetables, sweet potato, gongura, chilli, coconut and to some extent vegetables like tomato, eggplant, ladies finger, bottle garden, bitter garden, lemon, banana, pumpkin, radishes, okra and varieties ofsprouts. Some farmers practice sericulture (silk farming). Pisciculture is being done in Aimakula Cheruvu lake by leasing government lakes.

Cuisine is largely based on Andhra Pradesh cuisine because of its proximity to Chennai. It is a mixture of Chennai and Andhra Pradesh cuisine. Many variations in the cuisine (all involving rice) are due to traditions.
Pickles and chutneys, called pachchadi in Telugu, are popular in this area. Chutneys are made from practically every vegetable including tomato, brinjals (eggplant), and gongura. Avakaya (mango) is probably the best-known with pickles besides Lemon or Sweet Lemon.
Rice is the staple food and is used in a wide variety of ways. Typically, rice is either boiled and eaten with curry, or made into a batter for use in a crepe-like dish called idli, attu or dosas, meat, tank fish, orchicken. Vegetables and greens are prepared with different spices (masala) into a variety of strongly flavored dishes such mango brinzal curry, gongura pachadi and halva.
The food is spicy like other parts of Andhra Pradesh with flavors added like chili and tamarind, peanuts; coconuts, and ginger. Garlic is a frequent ingredient.
Beside rice, (finger millet ball) Ragi are used to make hot round balls, chapathi, idly, dosa, biryani, puri, pongal, umpma are the regular foods, vegetables and greens are prepared with different spices (masala) into a variety of strongly flavored dishes such as Chittoor fish curry, mango brinzal curry, and gongura pachadi. .

The village has a temple with goddess Kuppamma, where during shankranthi a huge procession is done across all the 7 villages under Pullur. Most of the villages have their own temple in their village. Village festivals with Gods Uregimpu, that means God will travel in the villages.

Puttur' was an assembly constituency till 2008. After De-limitation, Puttur constituency was dissolved and merged with Nagari, Andhra Pradesh. Srirangarajapuram mandal(Village under this Mandal) is separated and merged withGangadhara nellore. The current representative from 2009 election is - kuthuhalamma (Indian National Congress)
'Tirupati' was Lok Sabha constituency till 2008. After de-limitation, constituency was dissolved and Srirangarajapuram Mandal(Village under this Mandal) was merged with Chittoor (Lok Sabha constituency) current representative from 2009 election is Naramalli Sivaprasad from Telugu Desam Party.
