Kalasalingam Old Students Association

From a quiet gathering of alumni in vacant Old asbestos shed in 1984 to a powerful network of more than 20,000 members worldwide, the AKCE-KLU Alumni Association has been keeping alumni connected to the University and to each other for more than two decades.

While the Alumni Association’s roots lie in the foot hills of Krishnankoil, its branches extend across the globe. Alumni Association members live in every state in the Country, and in numerous countries around the world. For the past 24 years, proud Kalasians have made their association the largest dues-paying organization of its kind in the world.

The Alumni Association was established in the year 1988 as a bridge between the Alumni and the Institute. It also connects the association with the alumni, faculty and students.

Reunion programs are organized and conducted by the Alumni Association and have been successful in bringing alumni back to campus, with activities that are designed to involve returning graduates with campus life. In addition to these reunions, several annual events are held each year including Back to College, Alumni Lectures and several social activities.
