About Jyoti ITI
Jyoti Industrial Training Institute is established in Daltonganj palamu, to enlighten technical education and skill development for the youth. Palamu is a rural area of Jharkhand. The youth of this area is still not having much facility for higher education. This Institute is the best institute which provides such Industrial Training degree in this area. The institute is managed by the dedicated members of JYOTI TRUST (Regd).
Jyoti Industrial Training institute is established to impart training under restructure pattern of Craftsmen Training Programme in Electrical and Fitter Trades which is approved by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). The aim of these engineering trades is to equip the trainees for suitable industrial employment. The Institute is situated at-kandu muhalla,daltonagnj Dist-palamu Jharkhand ). Both the trades are highly demanded in public sector (Railways, BHEL, SAIL, Ordnance Factory, Armed Forces etc) and private sectors.
The Jyoti Industrial Training institute is affiliated to the DGE&T, Ministry of Labour, Govt of India under the aegis of the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT),
2. Objective
The main objective of this institution is to train the youth into a skilled workers. We are committed to help for their employment & self-employment processes. And also provide skilled technicians having latest know-how of the latest equipment according to the need of industry & establishments in public and private sector.
3. Mission
Jyoti Industrial Training institute strives hard to achieve excellence in technical education & industrial training. We believe the following cardinal points of achievement as well as our mission:
(i) To equip the students with latest emerging technologies, skills and knowledge up to the level of globally competitive standards.
(ii) To maintain a continuous interface with industry and bring changes in time according to the needs of industry.
(iii) To enhance the ability to anticipate and shape further the skills of budding engineers though individual and group activities to include and encourage a life long thirst for learning in students.
(iv) To encourage conceptual, inter personal and teamwork skills for technical decision making among the students.
(v) To provide options of Employment and Self-Employment by providing Training to the people of Families which are financially weak.
(vi) To solve the problem of Unemployment of the state Govt. and to provide help in Industrial Growth.
(vii) To motivate the Youth for employment in Industrial Sector in Rural Areas.
(viii) To provide work on important parts in the field of Technical Education to all the Students.
4. COURSES OFFERED AND DURATION
1. Electrician Trade (2 Years)
2. Fitter Trade (2 Years)
5. Eligibility for admission
(a) AGE: The candidates of 14 – 40 years of age as on date of start of admission session (i.e. 01 August) are eligible for admission.
(b) QUALIFICATION: The academic qualification is Matriculation with Science & Mathematics as subjects.
(c) SELECTION: Selection of candidates for admission in Jyoti Industrial Training institue is done after a written test conducted by J.C.E.C every year. The test is conducted to check the ability of student. In the test student will awarded by grading that also include the marks secured by the candidate in matriculation. Admission is totally decided by the management of Institute.
6. SESSION : August to July every year.

8.ST/SC/OBC STUDENTS GOT FULL SCHOLARSHIP BY WELFARE DEPARTMENT.
9. TRADE TESTING AND CERTIFICATION
All-India Trade Tests are conducted by the DGE&T, Ministry of Labour, Govt of India under the aegis of the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) in July every year. The trainees have to appear in the trade tests. National Trade Certificates are awarded to the successful candidates. National Trade certificate is a recognised qualification for recruitment to relevant posts and services in Central/State Government establishments.
10. TRAINING
(a) About 70% of the training period is allotted to practical training and the rest to theoretical training relating to Trade theory, Workshop Calculation & Science, Engineering Drawing, Social Studies including environmental science & family welfare. The Institute is using latest technology and methods to teach students. The following facilities and activities which make us different from other Institutes.

(b) Woking hours
Total working hours : 42 Hours per week.
(1) Practical Instruction – 28 hours per week.
(2) Theoretical instruction – 10 hours per week out of which
(i) Trade theory 4 hours per week
(ii) Workshop calculation and science 2 hours per week
(iii) Engineering Drawing 2 hours per week
(iv) Social studies 2 hours per week
(3) Extra-curricular activities including library studies and physical training –
4 hours Per week.
(c) Progress cards
A progress card should be maintained in respect of every trainee from the date of admission to theITI.The monthly test be conducted in all the subjects and the performance recorded as usual on monthly and quarterly basis for awarding sessional marks.
11. UNDERTAKING FROM TRAINEES
On joining the Jyoti ITI trainees will be required to give an undertaking to abide by the discipline of the ITI, take care of the tools and equipments entrusted to their charge, not to discontinue the course, and to conform to such other conditions as may be prescribed by ITI.
If they fail to fulfill the terms of the undertaking, the ITI will have the right to recover from them the expanses incurred their training or such less amount as they may deem fit.
12. VARIOUS ADDITIONAL FACILITIES
(a) Computer based tutorials through Audio-Visual aids
Using computer based tutorials, the trainees can get Practical knowledge through the simulation tutorials which helps them to learn the topics more easily.
(b) Industrial Visits
The trainees are also taken for industrial visits so that they are aware of the new technology and machines that are in the industries.
(c) On-job Training
The trainees are also given on-job training to give them the actual training on the latest machines in the industry. It also builds up their confidence to work in industrial atmosphere.
(d) Spoken English Training
English has become most compulsory in the industries. So the trainees along with the regular training are also given the training of learning and speaking English. This helps them to increase their vocabulary.
(e) Group Discussion
A group of four trainees is made and they are given specific topic monthly. By doing group discussion they get the habit to express their views to the public. Group discussion develops the habit of the trainee to read and search for the information which increases their knowledge.
(f) Board work by Trainee
In this, the individual trainee has to give the presentation or the work he has done on the board. With this we try to remove the fear of addressing the audience from the trainee.
(g) Guest lecture from Industries/Experts
In addition to regular lectures guest lecturers from industries and the experts are called so that the trainees get the latest information about the technology used in the industries.
(h) Regular trainers’ & trainees’ monthly meeting
A monthly meet between the trainer and trainees, is held so that they can discuss any problems and to solve the problem in the best possible ways.
(j) Workshop/Seminar by Industrialists/Expert both for technical skill & key skill
A seminar for industrialist/Experts is arranged so that we can get the views for developing the ITI according the requirement of the industries.
(k) Visits of Exhibition & then after workshop for knowledge upgrading
The trainees and the trainers are sent to visit exhibition so that they get aware of the latest trend of the industries and can develop/upgrade the workshop.
(l) Establishment of Trade Advisory Committee
For Development of trade Lab. –Workshop with advanced technology, experts from industries must be required. These experts are also useful to upgrade the syllabus and effective training. More than 15 Persons from different industries have been requited as above committee.
13. Placement Advisory Bureau
The purpose of this Placement Advisory Bureau is to deliver employment related service to the iti students. There are various activities of Placement Advisory Bureau is as follows:
(i) To arrange Campus Interviews
(ii) To improve student personality by counseling from Private and Government Sectors.
(iii) To provide Awareness and knowledge by Guest faculty
(iv) To Arrange seminars on different subjects like “Employment Opportunities in the Local Industries” to provide useful career related guidance, knowledge for trainees.
(v) To contact personally various local industries for their man power requirements.
(vi) To arrange “self employment shibirs” to provide information of different self employment schemes of government to trainees.
(vii) To provide newspapers, magazines (career guidance, general knowledge, motivation),employment news to trainees.
(viii) To provide computer facilities to trainees for career related information.
(ix) To provide internet facilities for job searching, on-line job registration, surfing for industrial information.
