to a national total of 544. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are financed by the Central Government under Human Resources Development (HRD) Department of Education directly and function under Navodaya Vidyalaya Simiti with its head Quarter at New Delhi,There are nine regional office.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Datia is situated at Beekar village. 1. JNV (JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA), Beekar, Distt. Datia functioning from 08/08/1988 in temporary building at Beekar village. The Vidyalaya shifted to its permanent building (Academic block) on 13th Jan. 2002.

Outstanding- The Vidyalaya has been actively contributing in the making of the society through various pace-setting activities conducted from time to time throughout the year. A computer literacy programme to educate the local enthusiastic youth in the working of computer and the uses thereof was conducted in the vacation. A Sadbhavana race was conducted from JNV Beekar to the local Raj Rajeshwari Temple to mark the occasion of Sh. Rajeev Gandhi's anniversary 20th August, 2008.
