India Economy & Business Analysis.

The site owes its origin to my own difficulty in understanding the business/ economy/ policy news & events while doing my MBA. And I believe the learning of contemporary business, apart from the classroom learning, is imperative for all students of business management to evolve as a better manager as (s)he grows.

Another objective of this website is to manage the information explosion, that we all are having to live with. I intend to work on top 2-3 news of the day which have a larger implication on the industry/ economy and which reflect a corporate trend rather than a simple company news. The “Weekly Round Up” would take care of any other news that may get left out during the week.

Another important feature of this site aims to be the writings on corporate failures and decisions gone wrong. As Former President, Late APJ Abdul Kalam had said, “Don’t read success stories, you will only get a message. Read failure stories, you will get some ideas to get success…”

Further, as honorable President Pranab Mukherjee had recently said, “Adjunct faculty from the industry and research institutions can provide practical orientation to course modules”, there is a need to understand the practical aspects of business decision making. I would call this website a modest attempt towards this end, a desire to share perspective with my 20 years of industry experience. The endeavor is to keep the stories short and focus on broad trends/ impact rather than on exact numbers. Further, there may appear to be a bias towards policy news as these issues are even more complex and less understood even though much larger ramifications.

And most importantly, I want this to evolve as a classroom in the longer run. A virtual classroom, where we all can interact, chat and discuss. To learn from each other.. And make business learning a pleasurable experience..!
