Gurudwara Mata Bhago Ji

Mata Bhag Kaur (Mata Bhago) Ji born at vill Chabhal Distt. Tarn Taran. She was the daughter of Chaudhary Baba Langah Ji disciple of Guru Arjun Dev Ji. Bhai Gurdas Ji wrote in 11th var, 22nd Pauri, regarding Bhai Langah Ji as: – This girl child born in the family of Chaudhry Dhillon Lal Langah Sachanda (1122).This family started leaping upward after the birth of this girl child. All people of locality started calling her ‘Bhaga Bhari or Bhagan Wali or Bhag’. She was inclined Religious Kirtan. When he grew up to the height of quarter past six feet, she started learning war affairs(Shaster Vedia) i.e. ‘Barsha’, ‘Neja’, ‘Baji’ and horse riding. She was perfect in war affairs, when some sikh warriors reached Majha after deserting ‘Badawa’ Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji. Mata Bhago? Ji and other ladies rebuked these sikhs strongly. She said, “You have deserted your Guru at the tie of great need. She called the people of area into a big assembly. She dared the deserted sikhs and told them to wear Bangles and sit at homes. Ladies will go and support Guru Ji in war and fight against mughals. She fights against mughals. She leaded the Jatha of deserted sikhs wearing sword and handling a barha with longer head. She dared the enemy. She fought with great wergild in the leadership of Bhai Mohan Singh Ji at Khidrane di Dhab (Mukatsar) against Mughals. The war between Mughals and Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji was very drastic. The war was won by Guru Ji. Mata Ji got injured badly in this war. She fell down from her horse. Guru Ji got treated her wounds with medicines and bandage. Gurudwara after the name of Mata Bhago Ji situated at Nader. After the ‘Jyoti Jot’ of Guru Ji Mata Bhago left for Janwara on the advice of Bala Rao and Rustani Rao. Where she left this world. There is a marvelous Gurudwara at Janwara in the memory of Mata Bhago Ji. There is a Bunga at Naded near Shri Sach Khand Sahib in the memory of Mata Bhag Kaur. All the arms used by mata ji along with 12ft. long 250 grms rifle is placed there for visitors.
A Gurudwara is being built by Baba Channan Singh disciple of Baba Karak Singh of Karsewa Wale with the co-operation of the sangat of the area. At present the kar sewa is being carried out by Baba Swaran Singh Ji.
